Texting with my Granddaughter was Fun. 5 March 2017

Well, DUH!  Got to meet them where they are at, right?  My 12 year old granddaughter and I had what was probably our longest Sunday morning conversation  ever after her Mom let me know that she likes texting! I don't know all the cute shorthand stuff, but texting was my main means of communication with my Sweetheart for several months, so it definitely does not intimidate me at all!  And to actually feel like I was not imposing on her time--definite bonus! She spontaneously told me that she went to a Mozart concert with her Dad, and two concertos were on the program so I got to tell her I used Mozart concertos for two of my Psalm Melodies [Psalm 8 and Psalm 23], and that I had studied one of his concertos when I was a teen taking piano lessons.  That is still one of my favorite pieces to play on those rare occasions when I sit down at a piano to play just for me.

A couple of other things I have been worried about were resolved today.  I know:  Trust More, Fear Less.  If I would remember that, life would be more pleasant!

Speaking of pleasant, the weather was nice, though very windy, during the late morning and early afternoon. Now there is snow or sleet or something else not very pleasant, and the temperature took a nose-dive!

I almost did not get to do the Preach My Gospel Sunday School meeting, but was asked at the last minute to fill in--and was able to share some insights about Jesus Christ and the Atonement.

After the meetings I broke my fast with fried wheat and onions. Pretty tasty!

Then I met with the sister who is taking over my assignment for the Young Elder Dinners.  Things went well until she started having computer problems, and I realized I could not send emails without a wifi connection!

Once I came back to the apartment and got the emails sent, in just a few minutes my Sweetheart called.  Among other things we talked about was our honeymoon plans--very fun! For those who may not know, May 6 is our day!

Tomorrow is a very early one--unless we get a snow day!  So I am off to bed.
