The Trainer who will take my place asked me for the New Missionary Training PowerPoints. She said they had been very helpful, and she will share them with new missionaries when I leave. That was very nice to know she appreciated them enough to want the new missionaries to have them--my work will not have been in vain.
On another front I almost felt like my work had been in vain. The line with the three Conrads is still a mess. It turns out that one of the Conrads was a twin! I was prompted to look at the actual microfilmed records instead of relying on the Ortssippenbuch--and that was one of the things I learned. Because the birth and christening record was difficult to read, the records of the twins were combined into one person. Of course, the wives of the twin I had not known about are attached to his brother. It will take some time to straighten it all out, but I think it is doable.
I got some temple work released from the temple during my lunch time. I am so grateful that the escalation department does not close for lunch. Someone is there from 10-4 each weekday.
Work interferred with our morning chat, but my Sweeetheart and I talked and prayed this evening--and I am ready to get some sleep!
