More Good Capstone Training. 15 March 2017

It has been really nice to have a later start to the day, and still get done during daylight hours.  This morning I was able to talk with my oldest daughter, and that was very good.  My Sweetheart is on the road so we only talked very briefly around noon.  He's run into some snow and ice, so I am glad he is in a fairly heavy vehicle.  I will be relieved when I know he has safely arrived.

I stopped briefly at the temple to put names on the prayer roll.  It is so good to be able to just stop by.

I picked up some good information at the Capstone training.  For instance, I did not know that "define [term]" nets a dictionary definition in Google.  No more having to try to find an online dictionary!  It will do it for me!  And it even worked at least once with a German word!  Amazing! I also learned about Magnifier, although I had to swallow my pride and ask Cortana where to find it on my Windows 10 computer!

In talking with my daughter I learned that my granddaughter will be doing a family history class on Sunday.  This was great motivation to start looking for how to find my 3rd great grandmother's birth record.  I did not have time to look at the microfilm today, but tomorrow afternoon I will pursue that goal. I also figured out where her index was hiding in the 1819 Mecklenburg-Schwerin Census. I should not complain about the transcription as the writing on the document was very difficult--but John instead of Sofa made it really difficult. It is a blessing that Ancestry allows correction submissions, so now it will be a little less hard to find her.

The last presenter in Capstone today was a high energy former music teacher, so that class was fun.  The first two classes were definitely informative.

I had to go to the Library for just one hour today to present a Level 2 review.  There were only 2 missionaries who showed up instead of the 4 who were scheduled. I had worried a bit about it, but the three of us had a really good meeting.

Then I was off to choir practice and Mission Conference.  I am a little disappointed because I slept through the talk again.  Then we had choir practice until late afternoon, after which I went back to the Library to fix the two In-service Powerpoints that are due for the next two weeks.  That will leave me tomorrow free to search for my 3rd great-grandmother!

My Sweetheart just texted that he has arrived safely!  Time to offer prayers of gratitude!
