Happy Birthday to my Dear Daughter! 31 January 2017

My dear oldest daughter, who kept me more or less sane until I learned the Gospel of Jesus Christ, turned 50 today.  Happy Birthday, dear One!

My day started out nicely talking with my Sweetheart.  At the Library in the morning I needed to make a tweak to the in-service PowerPoint by including a slide with a definition of Browse. Throughout the day I actually made several changes to the in-service, incorporating things which I noticed as my co-Trainer presented the lesson, which was on several aspectes of searching FamilySearch.

We are a little over half-way through the lessons on the new training, and today at the certifiers meeting I learned that with the help of curriculum specialists, the training will definitely be changing over time. Still, I continue to get positive feedback over my presentations, and I think I will be able to continue to use them even when I get back to Missouri as I am sure my Sweetheart and I will continue to be involved in family history, both for ourselves and for others.

I realized this morning that I had not taken a picture of a death record that I need.  I was not sure how I would find out which person it was, as it had been sometime last week or the week before when I was researching that I missed it.  However, a few minutes ago I remembered that I should have a different record for her--and there it was. That wil cut down a lot on the time it will take fo find the record.

This afternoon's in-service presentation was a bit different, as the computer which was displaying the PowerPoint decided to shut down a few minutes after we got started. I was able to have the class go through the procedures on the individual computers, The blessing was that the sister from the Ukraine found a record from her family as she was practicing the search!  That was an Elijah moment for sure!

When I finished at the Library I went to the temple, which has been closed for two weeks for the semi-annual cleaning.  It was nice to be back.  My good intentions had been to go to one of the other temples nearby, but mostly due to weather issues I did not do it.  Saturday morning I will go again for my temple day, and in the affternoon I will attend the sealing of the couple from our zone who will be getting married!

Soon my Sweetheart will call for our evening talk, and then I will  retire for the night. We did actually get to Skype last night quite late when his internet service was restored. That was a treat.
