Butler Hill is Set--and so is My New Password! 3 January 2017

My P day is piecemeal this week because of two meetings on Thursday.  I do not mind, since Saturday is my temple day, so I will not need to go on Thursday--and that is a very good thing.  We have snow forecast for tomorrow and Thursday both! I decided to start the car late this afternoon, but I may not get to drive anywhere for a while.  The parking lot is quite snowy already, and two more days of snow will only add to the mess.  Other than not getting out to buy more apples to use for Thursday's pot luck luncheon, this is not a problem. I definitely have enough food to get by with.

Today I got to have a two-hour late start as part of my P day hours. That allowed me to have a nice talk with my Sweetheart.  This evening we won't get to talk very long, so that was the reason I asked to have my P day hours this morning. I was able to share with him that we have the Stake Center reserved for May 20! Exciting that things are falling into place quite nicely.

I got to the Library just a few minutes before Study Group was supposed to start, so I had time to call Global Support, get a temporary password, and then go in and change my password.  And it works!!! Yay!

As it turned out, we did not actually have Study Group.  One of the sisters had a different obligation, one of the elders was sick, the other elder was busy the whole hour with a guest, and the other sister arrived about 20 minutes late. Since I was not totally prepared, I was not at all unhappy with this situation.  I got to work a bit on my own things for a pleasant half hour. I figured out a puzzling situation in my line, back about 14 generations!

I had planned to stay and work on my own research during lunch time, but I ended up going to the escalation department and getting another puzzling situation resolved.  One of my ancestors was listed as both a boy and a girl--and this is not a situation I could resolve on my own, even though I had evidence that there was only a male child.  The elder in escalation showed me how this probably had happened, and began the resolution of the problem.

Once that was done I just had time to get to another meeting.  That was held up on the third floor in an administrative area I had seen but had never been in.  The meeting seemed to be quite productive. So even though it was held during a time when I was supposed to have skill development time, I thought that fit pretty well.  The next hour I worked on another in-service lesson.  The following hour I taught the currect in-service lesson.

After leaving the Library I went to the temple for a short time. After that I started the car, and got most of the snow removed--at the time I had not known that tonight through Thursday at noon we are due for yet another storm!

Here at the apartment I was planning to work on family history, but it is a little harder to do here without my resource materials at hand, so I decided to write this post.  Maybe I will tackle some family history work a bit later.
